Our RedsBet Blog editor has been speaking to our Ambassadors and Fan Partners to find the three most popular season long bets.

Liverpool to finish ahead of Man United

Come 5pm on May 12th 2019 where will Liverpool and Man United be sat on the Premier League table? Last season, United finished six points ahead of Liverpool but the consensus is that this won’t be happening again. Liverpool have strengthened with Fabinho, Alisson and Keita whilst United have only managed one big signing in Fred. Mourinho’s recent comments suggest he’s not in a happy place and that is likely to carry over into the squad where the Paul Pogba ‘situation’ is sure to arise again. Liverpool rate a strong bet at 1.66 to outshine in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool to be top on Christmas Day

Who will be top of the Premier League on Christmas Day? Expect Chelsea to be slow starters with a new manager implementing a new style of play, Man United have a ‘Jose Mourinho’ problem, Arsenal are, well, Arsenal and Tottenham have failed to add any real quality to their squad. So this looks to be a straight fight between Manchester City and Liverpool. City won’t have things so easy this season in what really is Pep’s second season with this team and style of play. Teams like Burnley, Bournemouth and Southampton played well against City last season and were unlucky not to take points. Expect them to be less frightened this season. Virgil van Dijk will begin his first full season for Liverpool and the addition of him and Alisson will ensure a lot more defensive stability in the first half of the season. The Liverpool attack remains the same as last season and even probably has a better supply line from midfield. Liverpool host City on Oct 7th and a repeat of last season’s performance at Anfield will see Jurgen Klopp’s men win and build a lot of momentum right through to Christmas Day. At 4/1 (5.00) Liverpool rate a cracking bet in this market on RedsBet.

Liverpool / Man City – Straight Forecast

Liverpool are 5.00 to win the Premier League on RedsBet but why not go for bigger odds and take Man City to finish behind. A straight forecast of Liverpool to win the title and City to finish runners-up at odds of 8.00 is a much stronger bet.  Man City set quite a high bar last season and the only team that looks capable of bridging that gap is Liverpool. They have made the most additions in the off-season and now have a much better defensive foundation compared to last season. United, Chelsea , Arsenal and Tottenham don’t look like challenging this season so the smart money is on a two-horse race. Back Liverpool to finish AHEAD of City at 8.00 and for those who wish to have a saver, cover your bet on Man City / Liverpool at 4.25.
